On My new iPhone 11 with ios 13 there isn't a trash or deleted folder in email. I have gone to the email settings and checked the deleted box but it still doesn't show up? How do I get a deleted box or folder?

I spoke with Apple rep yesterday. First suggestion was to shut down iPhone then turn back on. That didn’t help. Then deleted mail account and readded. That didn’t help. Then during discussion it came out that I was setting up settings based on VERIZON recommendations dyer they moved all email activity to AOL. Rep went and talked with his supervisor. Came back and said that it was a known issue with people using VERIZON email accounts. So he had me set up using AOL option and I was able to get the Trash, Sent and Junk folders. However there is no FLAGGED folder using the AOL option. He said the issue with Verizon accounts should get resolved in a future update.

Try going to the main email screen, if it says Inbox at the top select Back until you see Mailboxes at the top. The first boxes you see will be your inboxes. Go below VIP and click your email address or iCloud. From there you should see all your folders including Junk and Trash.
I had the same problem , so deleted my hotmail account and the added it back, after all the folders was in the correct places
It seems that POP3 email accounts are taking some time to populate their options. See this other forum thread for more details:

To summarize, it looks like waiting a half an hour to a few hours corrects the issue.
I was on a chat and on the phone with apple support yesterday and no luck with POP3 email. IMAP works but that isn't what I want. The have sent the issue to engineering and are supposed to call me back Friday.
I did that but there is no Junk or Trash folder, The folders that are there are Flagged, unread, to or cc, attachments, thread notifications, today and muted threads.

If I click on the Edit box from the Mailboxes screen, it displays many selections - e.g Unread, Today, etc but there is nothing for Trash, Sent or Junk? What happened to these?
I’m having the same problem with my iPhone 11. No sent folders or trash folders under each email account. How do I get these back?
I tried but still no difference. I can't get the SENT or TRASH folders in each account. I have to use ALL TRASH and ALL SENT.
