iPhone 11 Pro Max Camera issues

Only blurs it cause it “needs you” to wait the appropriate seconds you see in yellow while holding phone very still. If you do that it will be very clear cause it is fully focused and has accumulated enough light, but when we don’t care and just want a quick photo, iPhone decides if it’s the right time. We pay $1000 to be on iPhones time to decide to snap the picture intended in the moment we intend it, even if we don’t care if it’s dim, cause life’s moments happen in a moment, if you can’t wait it will not enough time to focus and add light and therefore you have a bad and blurry picture ( you’re welcome) ironically enough, if we turn off the night mode feature meaning we don’t care about the dimness in that moments it takes the picture as quick as we snap it and just fine I’m quality! So it’s very capable not unable to take clear instant pictures when we tell it to manually, however it doesn’t understand that we could want that feature permanently that way, unless we select it to be on auto. It decides it will always be on auto for us. Who should have the

ability to forcefully decide?? I wonder Apple

It actually isn't, you can shut off night mode easily.

To turn off Night mode, tap on the moon icon at the top of the Camera app interface.

Slide the Night mode slider all the way to the left to turn night mode off.

It will automatically be enabled on each photo, but you can shut it off on a per-photo basis.

I’m having the same problem to. I have the 11 and the camera looks like it’s an android. i’m so confused. I still have my X and I took pics on both and my X takes better pictures. I hope it’s a big problem and now how the camera really is.

I apologize if I am stating the obvious here, but judging photos taken with the ultra wide camera by how they look when you crop into a small portion of them is antithetical to the purpose of that lens. The entire reason you would take a photo with that lens would be to get a much larger vista. Think about it this way:

• All three cameras are capturing their image on a 12MP sensor.
• This means that a photo captured by each lens is comprised of 3024 × 4032 pixels.
• The ultra wide angle lens is capturing 4 times as much of the real world as an image that is captured by the wide angle lens. (see the image below from Apple's demo photos where the wide angle capture is highlighted and the additional image that would be captured with the ultra wide angle lens is dimmed)
• Be definition the ultra wide photos will be four times less sharp than an image taken with the wide angle lens. The images are displaying 4 times as much information with the exact number of pixels.
• Solution: stop cropping in closer on images taken with the ultra wide angle lens. Only use it for images where you want the very large image.

Or good lighting conditions, yes, I would recommend it.

rbrylawski was correct on the apertures; from the iPhone 11 Pro spec page:

• Ultra Wide: ƒ/2.4 aperture and 120° field of view
• Wide: ƒ/1.8 aperture
• Telephoto: ƒ/2.0 aperture

That’s the annoying part don’t you get it? Per photo basis. As dumb as you phrased that. It should be a setting just like flash on or off or auto. That works just fine. There’s actual people on here thinking the phone takes bad pictures or blurry ones because it’s something wrong with the phone or camera or a glitch in software iOS but those people don’t yet know it’s because the night mode is always on and will always do that delay timer when someone wants just a quick on the spot photo; which older iPhones are more that capable of doing because they don’t have the night mode always on.

If you haven't tried this yet, I would highly recommend performing a force restart on your iPhone. I have been having many bug-related issues with my camera app as well but when it is working it is taking beautiful photos.

That is so completely NOT the results I've had with my iPhone 11 Pro Max that I would say you should take your phone in for service if that is actually true.

This is by no means a photo which is anything more than a quick snapshot I took while at a stop light - it was even rushed as the light had just turned green and so isn't even straight, but the sharpness and resolution is incredible and something you would have needed a DSLR to produce just a few years ago.

he man here are 2 photo's from me taken from myself the neighbor has taken the pictures.

One is with the normal lens and the other is with the ultra wide angle lens. Are you sure there is nothing wrong with my phone? Because when i zoomed in o the wide angle photo the background is very unsharp and grainy and the colours are not beautiful.. also you see a sort of reflection from the TV.

That's actually entirely different, it's Night Mode.

Basically in low light, the iPhone 11/11 Pro will take multiple exposures over a period of time to be able to take a better quality picture in low light, but the downside is it will take one to two seconds to do so, and if you move at all there will be blur.

An iPhone almost never comes with the latest version of iOS installed, if the latest version came out within the past week or two. That is especially true this year when we have had four version of iOS 13 already. The phones have to be assembled, boxed, and shipped from China. They are not updated once they are boxed up.

As to iTunes, I want to be very specific. What I mean is to restore the phone from a complete iOS image. I am referring to the instructions here:

This simply looks like your child was not the focus point.

You may want to take your phone in to be examined, as I don't see the other issues you mention.

As far as flare goes, it's just an inescapable effect that occurs with a complex lens of that size; if you can find a way to eliminate it, Apple, Google and Samsung would like to talk to you as would Canon, Nikon, Tamron and Zeiss.

I've never seen Camera "freeze up."
