wifi not working in recovery mode

my macbook air has gone into recovery mode and isnt connecting to any wifi so i cannot proceed with the internet recovery can someone please help

in recovery mode cannot istall macOSX Monteray no internet connection Hi all My first post here as I have almost torn all my hair out!! 2018 MacBook Pro A1990 running (or was) macOS Monterey In recovery mode -Cmd/Option/R I’m asked select my wifi and enter password. Then when trying to reinstall OS Monterey I get error msg to the effect that there is no Internet connection. How come SDC I have entered my wifi details? I can do Cmd/R and I get OS Sierra which seems to instal OK but fails right at the end. what’s gone wrong

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

If I'm understanding correctly, your MacBook Air is stuck in recovery mode and you are unable to perform internet recovery because you can't connect Wi-Fi. I will be glad to assist.

Since Wi-Fi is not connecting, do you have an ethernet connection available?

If not, try Disk utility to see if it helps:

Repair a disk using Disk Utility on Mac
