IOS13 Mail outlook.com duplicate sent items

This has bugged me with MacOS Mail for years, and with iOS13 Mail I now have the problem on the iphone (6s)

I have 4 email accoonts, one icloud account (no problems) and 3 Outlook.com accounts. All 3 now store duplicate sent items in the app.

They are not stored on the server sent folder, and only one copy is received by the recipient.

I have deleted the accounts and added back.

Thete is no setting on webmail to help me.

IOS 11 and 12 did not have this problem though MacOS have had it for years. Its no doubt a Microsoft glitch but only shows up in 13.

Any help, or others testing this would be appreciated.

Wahoo we waited long enough...

  • Fixes issues in Mail that may prevent downloading new messages
  • Addresses an issue that prevented deleting messages in Gmail accounts
  • Resolves issues that could cause incorrect characters to display in messages and duplication of sent messages in Exchange accounts

my battery is 17% lol need to charge before it will allow me to update. Best of luck everyone is this a very merry Christmas from Apple?

Hello,

I'm facing the same issue with all iPhones with iOS 13 or greater version. My salesforce colleagues have got iPhones and Exchange mailboxes. The y see 2 sent emails into sent folder, but on OWA or on Outlook clint of their Windows PC only one.

I tried to delete the account and reinstall it again into the iPhone but it didn't solve the problem.

No solution for now

Another user/company to add to the list having the same problem. I'd like to know for sure if one of the duplicate emails that we see in the "Sent" folder is stored locally on an iPhone/iPad and does not contribute to the overall storage quota for each user. In other words, is it taking up twice as much storage space on our Exchange Server? If 1 email is part of exchange and the other is stored locally, well, at least I don't have to worry about increasing storage! Geez. Hoping to see 13.1.4 with this specific fix.

That is what I was told a while back, but still the situation is unresolved.

I am using, as I mentioned earlier, G-Suites, not Outlook or Outlook.com! I still have the duplicate e-mails in my SENT folder in the Apple Mail App. This has only occurred since I updated to iOS 13, never before that. This is definitely an iOS 13 issue - no question about it.

Apple... Please help!

This makes me do annoyed

Apple are passing the buck

outlook works fine on previous IOS it is definitely an IOS 13 problem

they did the same to me when my iMessages stopped working and blamed my carrier (EE)

surprise surprise it was an Apple problem

The Apple agent I spoke about this issue said it was a problem which Apple was aware of.

I am increasingly ****** off with the lies and lack of customer service

"Besides the double vision in the sent folder the other problem with iOS/exchange mail now is that it doesn’t refresh automatically unless you quit mail and come back to it… I can’t tell you how many emails my team has missed since the new iOS came out – simply because their mail is frozen two hours earlier and they did not notice."

We're also having reports of this with iOS13. A much bigger problem than the duplicate sent items. This e-mail not updating has been more of an intermittent issue, but definitely started with iOS13.

I have tried everything listed above inc web browser delete on every iOS update. Still fails on iPad and iPhone.

i have also noticed with the latest iOS 13.2, that now when opening an email of you read and want to delete it in under 5 seconds you can’t as the blue unread icon stays out for 5 seconds if you delete it, it will then re present making the total time 5 second and allow it to be deleted.

apple now fail to reply to my dms..
