Missing Documents on macOS MoJave and iCloud.

I had an update done a few months ago on my MacBook and today, when I logged onto my computer to add my latest banking statement and car statement to my bank and car statement archives, a whole lot of documents were missing. I would like to know as to how I am able to recover these?

Depends on where the documents were stored. If you were syncing them with iCloud/iCloud Drive, try https://support.apple.com/kb/PH27917?locale=en_US&viewlocale=en_US.

Otherwise, if you back up with Time Machine see if you can locate the documents there: https://support.apple.com/en-us/guide/mac-help/mh11422/mac

Hi Miss Smartie Partie,

Thank you for the links.

Unfortunately, neither of the methods which you suggested to me work. My backups are older than 30 days and using the Time Machine method, I still have the same missing documents (which weren't originally missing during that period). I would like to know if there are any other solutions which you can recommend?

Please do let me know.
