i Mac does not recognise LG dvd cd drive when connected to USB port, and does not show in disc utilities. Loading LG installation disc brings up LG icon and pressing control p enables a music download to iTunes. Why can’t I download and install LG installation disc?
You can not and do not need to install the LG windows software on your iMac. All you need to do is insert a music CD or movie DVD into the LG drive and open the icon. In addition, if you go to Apple > System Preferences > CDs & DVDs, you can tell your iMac what to do when you insert a CD or DVD.
