Watch 4 will not turn on again after latest update

Watch 4 (purchase 30th July) has worked fine after after update to OS6 on 20th of month. I usually turn off and on my devices after major update. Today I have turned of my watch for the first time since it was purchased and it will not turn on again. If I put it on charger get Apple logo for a few seconds and this repeats again and again.

Must be related to update because it obviously turned on when purchased.

ARGH this is the first day in 4 years I have been without an Apple watch.

I had already tried a hard reset... no joy.... then I tried hard reset 4 more times and then it came back to life. I have since turned it off and back on again successfully.

Thanks for the prompt response Julia. I had already called the Cupertino Apple store and had someone check it wasn't an update problem that might affect many other watch users.. I am in Thailand and no one was awake yet.... Keep up the good work.. I read many of your comments.
