A few days ago I installed a camera scanner app to scan some documents. After using the app, I uninstalled it. My husband just got an e-mail with a massive bill for an annual subscription for this app. We immediately cancelled the subscription, and we’d like to know if there is any way to get a refund. Surely it is not reasonable to charge us for 365 days in this case.

It may not help, but contact iTunes Support. Either use the form or scroll to the bottom of the page in the 2nd link. Follow through the screens to get a chat or telephone option. You may need to pick a problem that is slightly different than yours to get a chat option.
I keep on getting this reply “We've determined that your purchase does not meet the conditions for a refund.”
This reply does not make sense and it feels that there is no consideration for my situation!!
