iPhone 11 Pro Max bugs/issues hardware or iOS13 bugs?

iPhone 11 Pro Max 256. Noticed the restore from backup didn't seem to go as smoothly as in times past. Seemed to take a long time for certain things to complete. Thought phone was acting weird but couldn't pin point. Decided to do factory reset since the guy at the store "Set up as new iphone" just to get it activated. Reset and subsequent "Restore from iCloud backup" appeared to go as expected, except I had to log in to every single app and did not seem to have any passwords stored. Figured it was user error.

Day 1: No issues

Day 2: Woke up (phone on charger as usual). Battery had just charged to 100% as it is supposed to. Screen activated as expected when picking up, recognized face well <1 second. Screen would not swipe up to open even though phone showed unlocked. Locked phone with side button the woke up by tapping screen. Phone would not wake up. Tapped several times before lock screen came up. Entered passcode, screen showed unlocked, could not swipe up. Screen finally opened to home screen. Screen was unresponsive to taps or swipes. Messages app finally opened and began randomly typing to a previous text message, as if a ghost was typing. Would not delete text. Finally stopped and i was able to delete the text. Close message and clicked the Safari icon and a totally different app opened. Took 3 tried to get Safari open. Tried to type in the address bar and what I was typing was not showing up. Some letters would show up then i would type the next letter and instead of the new letter showing up, the previous letter deleted. As if i hit the back arrow key rather than a key on the other side of the keyboard. Finally stopped after about 2-3 minutes and worked normally. Later in the day, the keyboard issue came about twice.

Day 3: Same issue as yesterday with lock screen. Took 4 tries to get screen to open. Once on home screen, random apps opened unexpectedly with gestures. Tapped mail icon, phone app opened. Swiped up to close phone app and then (without touching screen) contacts opened, then recents, then favorites, then it started calling someone. I had to hit the end button 4-6 times before it would hang up. Did a force restart at this point. Upon restart, lock screen issue again. Finally got to home screen and tried settings menu which actually opened, though it was laggy bad. Did a reset to factory settings. Selected "restore from backup" and was able to type my Apple ID ok, but trying to type password, keyboard issues again. First letter of password typed, 2nd key I pressed ("k") caused the first character to delete. This happened several times before finally typing all characters. Had to type very slowly and methodically. The restore was quick and apps are already on. The apps I had to retype the authentication for yesterday opened immediately with no new log in.

At this point I dont know if it is buggy, awful iOS 13 or I got a bad phone. I cant find anything online with others with my same issues. Either way, I'm more disappointed than I have ever been with a new phone. When I spend $1249 on a phone, I expect perfection, especially from Apple. This is what I would expect from Android.

UPDATE: Day 3 woke up and alarm hadn’t gone off. Looked at phone on my nightstand and the screen was active on its own. The unlock code screen was on and the characters were rapidly being filled in (I hadn’t touched the phone yet). Then it locked out due to too many invalid logins. Then the emergency screen came up and it began to call 911. I got the phone shut off and left it off. Apple replaced the phone with a suspected faulty touchscreen. New phone has zero issues and works as it should with incredible battery life.
