- If you already have music on your computer, iTunes should have asked if you wanted to add it to the Library, in which case, that music should already be visible in the Library. If the music has not yet been added, follow the step in 3.2 below
- You can purchase music in digital format, from the iTunes Store
- if you purchase music from the iTunes Store, follow the store prompts to download it. The download procedure should add the music to your iTunes Library automatically
- You can purchase music from other sources (such as Amazon, Beatport etc.)
- once purchased, you will need to download it from that store (Amazon usually prompts you with instructions) to your computer (that doesn't add it to iTunes)
- once downloaded, and placed in an artist folder under the Music folder, go into iTunes and use File/Add File to Library (for one song), or File/Add Folder to Library for an album
- If you have any CDs (yes, old-fashioned stuff), import the CD into iTunes by putting the CD into the CD drive and following the prompts that iTunes gives you.
If you are still stuck, let us know what you have managed to do and where you get stuck. That way, we can provide specific instructions on what you need to do.
