An iPod nano, from years ago would not have needed an iTunes account unless you had purchased music from the iTunes Store, so the obvious question is whether you have ever set up an iTunes account?
- The iPod nano only requires iTunes (the programme on your computer) in order for you to be able to add music to it. The music could have been from your own CDs, or digital music purchased from stores such as Amazon. This would not have required an iTunes account
- An iTunes account is required in order to purchase music from the iTunes Store
- All your music, whether purchased from the iTunes Store, Amazon, any other outlet, or from CDs, is added to your iTunes programme in order to form your iTunes Library
- So if your question concerns music purchased from the iTunes Store (which requires an iTunes account), go to the store and sign into your account using the store ID details that you used when you originally bought the music
- If the question concerns only music from sources other than the iTunes Store, it is in your iTunes Library. If you're asking how to access that music, then that iTunes Library is on the computer you added it to
