iTunes won't recognize my iPod classic at all.

I've tried two cables, one of the cables is generic (it has a port for iPhone, iTunes and Android.) This problem didn't happen with my older version of iTunes, but I was forced to migrate to a newer version of iTunes, due to getting an iPhone from my employer.

The other one is a cable that came with my purchase on Amazon, but it never worked well, I wonder if it's the culprit. However, until recently it would still work as long as I rebooted the iPod while it's connected, now not even that.

I have a super old cable, that's worn out, that came with one of my first iPods, and that one is better, though I can't try it, cause it's not at home.

I'm so frustrated that I'm thinking about removing iTunes, my version is iTunes64Setup(12.9.4.102) on windows 10, and reinstalling an old one.

Any tips I could try before I go that route?
