sorting with "Numbers"

how can you sort aphabetically with multiple documents in Numbers.

data that needs to be sorted is on same column A but on multiple documents .

very new with numbers thank much for you help.

Numbers will allow you to open more than one document at a time but you would interact with the one at a a time.


to sort a table by a particular column, select any cell in the table you want to sort, then hover the cursor over the column header (the letters are the top).



a down pointing arrow will appear on the right side of the column header you have the cursor over. Click that to reveal the contextual menu for that column:


Select Sort... as needed.


Repeat for each document


If you need ALL the data in all the documents sorts as if they were a single entity, then I suggest creating a new document where you combine the content of each file into a single document, then sort
