My Apple Watch keeps asking for my Apple ID password

I seem have the same problem. I think you are correct. Somehow many years ago, I created an account with another non-Apple email. But later I created an icloud account an Apple email. Now I am getting a message to sign in to icloud to the non-Apple email.

I don't even have an icloud account with that email.

Did that fix it? I’m only getting the request for the one ID and then it’s saying the password is wrong and can’t verify the account but when I go to a laptop to sign in using that same info, it’s correct.

and it took three logins and a return to Google to get to this forum. When I went in thru Apple Community, this discussion was not available from search. Apple needs to get their s(*& together and concentrate on current user services and not sales, sales, sales

This is annoying. I have a similar situation (two accounts). I erased and reinstalled everything last night. Still getting the "sign in" prompts. Now up to 8 or 9 times. Not wearing my watch today. Really frustrated with Apple on this.

I changed the password for my apple id on my iPad, iPhone, and Mac laptop. My iwatch 3 with cellular keeps asking me for my apple id and also for a verification code, at least some of the time. I do it and a little later, it asks again. How do I fix this issue? I don't have multiple apple ids. I didn't have this problem until I changed my apple id password.

I submitted a report last Friday and got a case # 100935797374. It said it would call within 2 minutes but no on called. I’m going on 2 weeks with my watch constantly asking to enter my Apple ID password. I’ve tried everything that people have been suggesting and nothing works. Help!

Apple, if you're listening, fix this bug! Super annoying. My HomePod listens to me. Perhaps I should complain to Siri instead. I've tried the fixes mentioned here. None work. I'm not wearing the watch now. I'm prompted at least 10 times every time the watch and iPhone connect.

This is really frustrating, as soon as I reconnect my watch or it goes into my home Wi-Fi area it seems to want my ID and password about 60 or 70 times and I’ve been counting them. It won’t let me put my Apple ID in using the Apple Watch app, as the Apple ID is deemed and won’t let me select it in the Apple Watch app What happens, is it asked for the same ID twice very quickly then waits for about five seconds and then asked for it twice again up to about 60 or 70 times

It happened to me too! I had the other ac very long time ago and I don't even remember the password.

Besides my apple watch and other devices are using the main ac. I have no idea why it is keep asking me for the password!

It really drain my watch's battery as well as it keep popping up.

I am having the same issue, I just updated my series 2 to 6.1. I only have one apple account so that is not the issue. I can hit cancel and it will stop for a few hours but if I go to my phone I can see that I am signed in with the apple watch with my correct account but it will not let me re-sign in or sign out and back in. There are just no option that I can see

Wtf is going on. My watch keeps asking me for Apple ID. Write it in. Says it’s wrong then tells me my sign in is being used in all manner of places. And sends codes to my phone. Apple please get this sorted ASAP. Is very frustrating. Even changed my password just in case.

Thanks. I happened across same last night just before the hammer. Now iPad doing same and keep getting location map, telling me I am at these locations an d whether to allow. Have, just to get the code. Apple need to sort this out swiftly

i went to see an Apple Genius who had no other suggestion than to unpair and then re pair the watch to the phone.

Didnt work.....

I have tried all other suggestions listed to date and they have failed also.

Solution, walk to your nearest river or large body of water and toss it in. It may sound a little drastic but after the initial remorse we can all just move on.

No. Like others here, I have two accounts. Originally, I didn't want to use my @me.com address in case the account was compromised. Now I can't delete the second account.

I've tried most of the solutions proposed here. Deleted everything and set up Watch again. Finally was able to see the codes on my phone. But I got an error message on the Watch after entering.

I've been busy. So I can put up with two alerts every time my Watch connects to the phone. But it's annoying. Perhaps I should get cellular service for the Watch.

Since the update yesterday I can’t sign into my watch, keeps asking for id and when I put it in it says failed. When I touch keyboard it says to enter id on iOS device. Nothing works and very frustrating. I see this has been going on for a while so you would think that the update yesterday would have fixed this.
