My watch keeps asking for my Apple ID password then I enter it and it keeps asking

I have the apple watch version 4 or what eve the newest one is, and it keeps asking me for my apple ID even if I just put it in. I went into settings and there is no option to enter my password to reset. How do I fix this?
I had the same problem. I unpaired my watch and repaired it. That seems to work.

Want to do this in general but it does not give me the option, no keyboard, just frozen?
Under general in the watch app there is only the Apple ID, no place to enter password
Sorry, this did not work--it just shows my Apple ID, but there is no option to enter a password.
I kept playing around with this issue and eventually a keyboard popped up on my Iphone. Entered password and presto, problem solved. Not sure which setting that I changed enabled the keyboard pop up.
There is no option for this on my app.
Apple Technical Support need to fix this quickly. None of the suggested solutions in this forum work for me.
I did go into the General setting on my watch app, it shows my Apple ID, but there's no place to enter or change or view a password, so what now?
I have just returned my Apple Watch to Costco. There were too many frustrations with it. Good luck everyone.
