My Apple Watch keeps asking for my Apple ID password

My watch keeps asking for my password then I enter it and keeps asking

On your phone go into your profile page and sign out at the bottom of the

screen then sign back in again.This should pass the signed in info to the

watch and hopefully stop asking for your password.

Or;

Open the Watch app on your iPhone.

Tap General, then tap Apple ID.

Sign in with your Apple ID and password.

If prompted, enter the six-digit verification code sent to your trusted device

or phone number and complete sign in."

Yes, that may work for a while, but stupid Apple is now telling me I have to put my password in to 'enable some services' every day, so if the watch is tied to this then this will not fix it for long. Something is screwy in the recent updates.

I was not able to input my password on the iPhone. I did get the dialog on the watch and the phone as you said, but when I tried to do something on the phone it took me back to the watch. I tried the character-recognition keypad but that was an ungodly-y painful experience and didn't work.

Gee, something inside of me tells me that this isn't a solution but a temporary fix until Apple realizes that is it ******* OFF loyal watch owners. I don't really give a **** about security if it impedes my use of the device. I know that you are just like me, and the fact that you had the patience to sit on the phone with these folks is way beyond the call of duty. Anyway, this is a problem that Apple created and it has to fix it, and I am sorry you had to go through the pain. I am sure I speak for others in thanking you for this hacky solution as it is better than nothing.

My watch keeps coming up with this and when I put my password in it says that someone from Tasmania is trying to connect to my device And so I press cancel. I don’t know how to make it stop. It is getting so annoying I’m getting an alert every few minutes

This is happening to me too and it’s SUPER annoying. Every morning (or if I am physically out of range of the phone) this pops up on my watch. My last count is 24 pop ups in rapid succession each morning. I hit cancel each time and this seems to do the trick BUT ONLY UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING.

Apple needs to fix this SOON.

So annoying, I’m having the same password to my old Apple ID problem. When it’s not even associated with my watch and never has been! I cannot alter the Apple ID in the watch app or sign out of it. I’ve tried resetting and nothing works. Ready to throw my watch out of the window. Apple get your **** together!

I’m having the same problem it keeps requesting the Apple ID twice what’s a couple of seconds then request it twice again about 60 times. I’m using voice-over as I’m legally blind and I can’t get the password in the watch app will not let me put the password in or re-sign into the Apple ID The watch app is showing the two Apple ID is that I have them so I can’t even select them in the watch app itself. This is got to be a program bug that Apple have really screwed up this time

Press password box on your watch a dialog box will appear on your PHONE press that and a keyboard will appear on your PHONE then type in your password and your done. Can’t remember the name of the person who posted these instructions but it worked for me.

In my case I didn't have two apple ids. I tried a very simple approach which I hadn't tried before. I powered down my watch then powered it back up again. I then powered down my phone and then powered it back up again. It's been fine ever since.

I was able to enter my password from my phone and I did this below as well; I have not had the issue since. Not sure which one fixed it but I'll take it.

I have a series 4 watch with the same problem. I powered off the watch, powered off my phone waited 30 seconds powered up the phone and then powered up the watch and the message has not returned. Fingers are crossed.

Mine also like that. Try many times but still appear invalid password. What i do is i go watch apps in my phone. Go general and reset my iwatch setting and it will unpair your watch. Then pair back using the back up record. Then i can use my iwatch and no more required password.

Touch the keyboard icon on your iwatch but have your iPhone unlocked next to you. On the iPhone you will see a box for your Apple ID password to go in but it only remains visible for about 3 seconds but once you start to input your password it remains. Once finished hit the return key and you’ll have no more problems. Merry Xmas
