My new iPhone 11 keeps disconnecting bluetooth devices

My new iPhone 11 keeps disconnecting bluetooth devices (happens both with Bose QC headset and Skoda car Bluetooth)

I did not see this behaviour on an iPhone X running IOS 13 beta.

Anyone having the same problem? Or even better: a solution?

(This question is about iPhone 11, but Apple apparently didn't take the time to update the "What device is this about"... )

SOLUTION

OK! I got Oscar at Apple. He is a big brain and has helped me FIX this!!

Here's the drill.

Connect iPhone 11 Pro to Macbook.

Backup to computer NOT to iCloud.

When backup is complete, restore software on the iPhone AS NEW. At this point do NOT restore data.

Once the phone has new software installed, BEFORE restoring data, on the car, forget the old Bluetooth connection and pair a new connection. Test calls. Mine works now where it was dropping 100% of incoming calls. Outgoing calls work as well.

Then go back to iTunes and restore data from the backup you just did a bit ago.

ENJOY!!!

Cudos to Oscar, Apple customer service wizard! (Previous TWO Apple reps told me there wasn't a problem with the phone, it was my car).

Hi everyone. Hi Apple.

Seems like it's still an issue, even after 13.1.2. I think I'm seeing an improvement, though (car and one BT speaker working OK, others not so much), so maybe it's being addressed incrementally. Remember to file a bug report if you haven't already.

Note also that your return window, if you're a new owner like me, is 14 days. Keep those old phones!

I don't known if this will help, but I hope it does. My wife and I have the same phone, but she does not experience the bluetooth crackling and disconnect calls. However, I did. I change the SIM, re-pair all bluetooth devices. Today, I decided to go to apple store, which they ran diagnostic on the phone. The diagnostic results showed that everything was fine with the phone. So, we backed-up the phone, and wiped the phone clean. However, instead of restoring from backup, we setup as a new phone. This seems to fixed the issue on my phone. I talked to my wife for about one hour, and everything was fine. The only thing that sucked is that I had to manually re-download all the apps that I had.

So, it seems that my first restore to iPhone 11 had something corrupted.

I hope this helps. Good luck

After two contacts with the Apple Support today and after having reinstalled iOS13.1.3 via iTunes/Finder nothing changed. Even a fresh setup of the phone (no restore from iCloud) did not change the situation.

The Apple Support now told me I need to update software in both of my cars - it's not their fault.

I asked for the conditions to return my iPhone 11 Pro...

Spent 30 minutes at the Genius Bar last night and it wouldn't do it. 12 minutes after I left the mall it would. Spent another 90 minutes at the genius bar today and was able to show it over and over and over. Tested on an iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus running 13.1.2 and 13.1.3 respectively. Both were rock solid. Re-paired to my 11 Pro, immediately disconnected again.

Replaced my phone under warranty. Got home, updated everything, and after 5 minutes connected ... headset disconnect.

*sigh*

I guess I'll live with it until they fix iOS

FIRST, this is a user-to-user forum. Apple does not participate. So "PLEASE FIX APPLE" is like shouting down a sewer.

Did you restore the iPhone 11 from a previous phone? If you did it probably restored the Bluetooth settings, which will be different on the new phone. So go to Settings/Bluetooth and Forget previous paired devices. Then go to the devices themselves and forget the iPhone (you may have to reset the hearing aids).

Then pair them as if they were new devices (which they now are).

Apple can't give a single solution because it isn't a single problem. It's likely that each person who has a Bluetooth problem has a different problem. If replacing the phone fixes it then it was a hardware problem, for example. But DrBillAtwood posted a solution that indicates that for him it was a software or network problem. And for some people it's because they imported Bluetooth settings from a previous phone, and that practically never works. Any time you set up a new phone you need to remove and recreate all Bluetooth connections, because the spread spectrum scan pattern will be different for each device.

And keep in mind only people who have a problem post to describe the problem. The hundreds of millions of users who don't have a Bluetooth problem don't generally go out of their way to post and say as much.

I received my iPhone 11 Pro 4 days ago. Bluetooth has no problems with my BMW X3 (2016) yet. But it took me almost 5 hours to pair my Apple Watch Series 2 with the 11 Pro. Since then I've had connection interruptions between iPhone 11 Pro (iOS 13.2.2) and Apple Watch Series 2 (watchOS 6.1). The constant disconnections are very annoying.
