Currently the only payment method in my apple id is just itunes cards. I want to add my visa debit card but it fails every time with an error message saying “Your payment method was declined. To make this purchase, provide a new payment method for your Apple ID”.
I get this message every time i have tried to set up a payment method.

Not all debit cards are accepted.
If necessary, contact iTunes Support. Either use the form or scroll to the bottom of the page in the 2nd link. Follow through the screens to get a chat or telephone option. You may need to pick a problem that is slightly different than yours to get a chat option.

Yes I’ve tried multiple times to add payment method. I just get an error message saying “There is an issue with your payment method. Update your payment information to correct the problem and try again” however all the information is correct.
