Was able to find a solution!! On Command prompt, run as administrator then do a ipcofig \release. After process is completed, do a ipconfog \renew. Then go to Network and Sharing Center and you’ll notice that Public Network under your iPhone hotspot’s name is now clickable. Now click on it and change network to Home network! Wait a few sec and you’ll be able to connect to the internet.

I had this same issue. I uninstalled the device driver software in device manager on my windows 7 pc, leaving the remove software box unchecked. Then I restarted the system. It reinstalled the device driver automatically on reboot and I was then able to connect to my Iphone hotspot. I will say that I had done this previously and it worked for a while then stopped working. That may have something to do with other networking issues, but as I right this I was able to connect to my hotspot.

Exact same issue and incredibly frustrating!

iphone XR and now unable to use my unlimited data plan and share internet to my laptop which I use to use everyday and need for work!

it now connects to hotspot but states - unidentified network - no internet access!

this is an unacceptable and incredibly disappointing bug from Apple and really don’t expect it as it is causing such an impact to work and productivity. I never thought I’d say this but unless this is fixed soon and is reliable I’ll no choice but to swap over to android.

never thought I’d say android is more dependable and reliable for work and productivity than IOS but this latest issue is just totally unacceptable and should have been fixed immediately.

What is happening Apple? Is there even a temporary fix? I’ve tried resetting network settings turning off/on changing network name logging out of Apple cloud and back in and nothing has worked it will not provide an internet connection to my laptop but my mates android phone does which gave him great amusement I might add.

this needs sorting ASAP!
