Was able to find a solution!! On Command prompt, run as administrator then do a ipcofig \release. After process is completed, do a ipconfog \renew. Then go to Network and Sharing Center and you’ll notice that Public Network under your iPhone hotspot’s name is now clickable. Now click on it and change network to Home network! Wait a few sec and you’ll be able to connect to the internet.
I already try this method, but still same unidentified network change password change name personal hotspot, already restart both device still cannot use. Please help to settle this problem. Tq
Try the solution I posted above
It worked for me. Thanks!
Glad that it worked :)
Hello gtvc!
Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. If I’m understanding your message correctly, the iPhone is appearing as “Unidentified network” in the available Wi-Fi connections on your Windows 7 computer. If that is correct, first, restart both devices. If it’s still showing as “Unidentified network” check to see the name it has on the Personal Hotspot page following the steps under, “Change the name of your Personal Hotspot,” on this page: Share your iPhone Internet connection.
Let us know the results.
Enjoy the day!
Any updates
