safari extension or not "Only Application"

I have a MacBook Pro 13" mid 2010 running 10.12.6 I never got popups apart from the little messages about updates or mail in the upper right corner. But in the last week I am getting a popup Extensions box that has a program it seems to want me to check called Only Application. I looked online under Apple's Safari extensions and cannot find this program. Sometimes I have also gotten a popup message which says something about configurations have been made then either check here or agree . I have no interest in checking or agreeing but I could not check it anyway because it freezes the computer and I have to restart. So this looks like a virus and I need to know how to stop it. Any Ideas what this is?

Force Quit Safari ( command + option + esc keys). Then restart Safari holding the Shift key.

If you still have problems Empty Caches (Safari menu > Preferences > Privacy > Remove all website data. (This will also remove history if you do not want to remove History open Safari Preferences > Advanced and check mark “Show Develop Menu” then choose “Empty Caches” from Develop Menu ).

Then go to Safari menu > Preferences > Extensions and check there. If there is an extension delete it.

If the problem persists then download and run Malwarebytes. Malwarebytes was developed by one of our own colleagues here in ASC and is about the most proven anti-malware software for Mac.
