wifi issues with Iphone 11 Pro Max

Hi! I dont know what is happening with the new iphone 11 ( as I have other iphones updated and there is nor issue with them) but as I connect to the wifi ( 802.1x protocol), after a certain time the conection is lost. There is wifi icon on the iphone but there is no conecction ( no ping....). After turn on off the plane mode, is working after certain time again...same thing. With other iphone 10 with ios 13 no issues.... so I think that the problem is with the iphone 11 hardware or something new on the iphone.... some one the same problem???? thanks in advance!!

Dear PJAckson76,

I would return to the place you got your phone first: mine was Verizon and even Apple support will tell you there are bad production lots of the iPhone 11 Pro there. If you have a good relationship with them there and can get all your data copied to a new version of the phone I would do that.

If Verizon is not the option, backup your iPhone 11 Pro with iMazing on the laptop/desktop of your choice and then go to the local Apple store. Ask them to run the typical diagnostics tests on your iPhone and then run the DFU(when running DFU, all data will be wiped, so be prepared). If they still find no problems; still ask them to replace the phone entirely with a new one. They will honor this because they know they need to do so. There are bad production lots out there.

When you get the new phone, have them run all the tests on the new phone and if it checks out ok, take it home and test it on your Wi-Fi first *** BEFORE *** restoring you data to it from iMazing. If the Speedtest results give you what you need you are all set to go ahead and restore from iMazing and test again.

If your results are still inconsistent and short of your expectations, it is time to change your router settings. Come back on this site and provide a router and model number and I will provide some tips which may help your situation.

I wish you luck with this, I know how irritating it can be.....but, the above process has solved this for me.

I just purchased the iPhone 11 and didn’t have cellular connection until 2 days later. During the time I didn’t have cellular service I had not problems with WiFi. Once I had cellular connection I had problems but then I updated iOS to 13.4.1 and it has been working no problem. I will give an update if this is just a temporary fix or a permanent one. Good luck y’all.

I got fed up and called Apple because my phone started overheating when the battery got below 20%. I just shipped it for repair today. It’s seems to be a hardware issue. I have a friend with the same phone as mine and his WiFi speeds on the same router is way above mine when we do a test. I bought my phone at launch while he bought his a while after launch. I don’t know if the early batch has hardware issues.

I can’t use AirPlay on my 11 Max Pro, video is jerky. Always have to keep switching off WiFi as it shows wifi connected but no internet or super slow. IPhone XR, Samsung Galaxy S10, iPad Pro 3, Dell XPS 15 laptop all do not have this problem in same location of house/same wifi router. My 2012 Mac mini also wifi was unreliable but I switched it over to Ethernet cable.

Same issue here: My iPhone 6 and my wife's iPhone 8 were working fine on our home wifi network. We both upgraded to the iPhone 11 Pro (me from the Apple store a week ago and her from a Verizon store yesterday), and both began experiencing wifi issues immediately. It seems the wifi antenna is significantly weaker than the previous phones. Doesn't hold a 5ghz or 2.4ghz very well. Falls off frequently and starts using LTE data. I'd love this to be a software issue that can be resolved, not excited about getting two new phones and setting them up again.

i have the same problem, even after upgrading to ios 13.2. .. I have 3 different iphones here. iphone 6, iphone 8+ and iphone 11 max pro 256 GB. only the iphone 11 has the wifi issues, the other ones work smooth and fine. The Iphone 11 connects first to the wifi, but jumps off. Usually i must restart the entire phone to be able to connect to the wifi again. and then almost immediately it jumps off.. and i need to restart the phone - that is unacceptable..

Having the same issue with my iPhone X! Was looking at the 11 Pro to solve problem. I have two separate networks, 2.4 and 5. When I connect to the 2.4 I get consistent connection, albeit the slower 50ish mbps. When I connect to the 5 GHZ I either get 0 to 12 mbps or fast 300ish mbps. It annoying to have to run only on 2.4 GHZ network. Apple Support had me reset 3 different ways including a complete reset from iTunes without restoring from iCloud suggesting it was software or app related issue. Still not resolved. They now suggest I pay $75 for a new iPone X since I have Apple castle plus. Totally frustrated. Will buy Samsung and slowly replace my macs and other Apple products with PCs and/or Samsung products. Selling stock too, as this is a sign of Apples doom.

Having the same problems with WiFi connection. Tried everything I know to do. It’s so frustrating because it’s on and off. Took the phone to Best Buy. They tried it on store WiFi and it worked just as I told them it would. It takes time to start loading slow. Took the phone to Apple. Tech ran network test and reset them. It worked the 10 minutes I was there. Got home and having same problem. I asked the Apple tech what I should do if it wasn’t fixed. She suggested I call Apple. She acted like she had not heard about this problem.

WiFi issues with iPhone 11 max Pro. I have seen lots of dames issues. To me it seems to be a distance related problem to the modem. Maybe the phones receiver isn’t as strong as my old iPhone 8 as my wife is having no issues at all. Once I move more than 6-7meters away signal basically doesn’t work what so ever...Yes I have tried resetting network a few times, also tried turning Bluetooth off nothing seems to help! It has to be with the phones hardware for sure..! Surely a tech would have isolated the problem by now considering issues have been around since its release, now having found out the hard way pay$$$$ for the phone only for it not to be as good in this area of WiFi than my iPhone 8 Plus. Some help would be great!!
