IOS 13 Gyroscope Calibration

I updated my iPhone 6s to ios 13 and my gyroscope will no longer work, I can’t turn my screen sideways and the compass will not move. (No, orientation lock is not on.) Any advice on how to fix this?

I have the very same problem - the screen rotation of my iPhone 6s doesn't work after the iOS 13 update. I tried updating also to iOS 13.1 but it still doesn't work.

I have downgraded to iOS 12.4.1 and everything works as expected, so it's definitely not a hardware problem, more like a bug in new iOS. Hopefuly it will be solved soon, love the Xbox One gamepad support! :)

Unfortunately the downgrade to iOS 12.4.1 is no longer possible - Apple stopped signing this firmware version on October 5 2019.

I have seen reports from owners of multiple iPhone models (not only 6S) that the automatic rotation stopped working after the update to iOS13 - hopefully Apple will release a fix for this bug soon.

I can guarantee that it's not a hardware problem, the screen rotation worked fine after the downgrade to iOS 12.4.1.

I am on iPadOS 13.3 iPad Gen 6 and have noticed some strange behavior that has to be gyroscope related. I’ve picked up the Pad with the home button on the bottom and the screen is upside down. Just now I had the home screen icons oriented correctly with the home button on the bottom with the dock upside down 😬 at the top of the screen. I have no clue how it could read the gyroscope to cause this. It does correct itself if you turn the orientation but it’s definitely a problem.
