IOS 13 - Mail with .ics is not downloading

I’m running 13.2 and still experiencing this problem. Excel (.xls) files are also not loading

Yes I agree, I just ran across this issue today and had no idea to look in my calandras app to find the invite. I prefer the way it was prior to the upgrade.

This does not solve the problem

The calander app is how I have been able to find my invites then using Siri to read back my invites for the month so I can write them down.

“This worked,” “it works” and “that setting” responses are unhelpful.

i trust @del44, @Wohoo2020 and @Canary614 are saying that @crdrummond3000’s “go to download an ics. [when] Safari opens, [go] to Setting / Safari / Downloads and select “On my phone” as opposed to iCloud.” solved the issue.

Unfortunately, this did not solve the issue on my iPad, running iPadOS 13.
