iPhone 11 on iOS 13 having Bluetooth connectivity issues

I agree. I have problems with my 2015 Dodge Journey connecting maybe 3 or 4 times out of 10. With my company's 2020 Foresters, it connects every time. I don't use the phone for music playback so I can't comment on that performance. But I can say that I've had the hands free problem with the cell since I purchased the 11 Pro the day it was released. I've applied each and every iOS update, and nothing has resolved. I do get a more consistent connection with the Journey when I don't have my Series 5 Apple Watch with me. The watch is wifi/cell, not just wifi.

Agree with @phi1514, just like I said at the beginning, my first iPhone 5S was more PRO than my 11 Pro Max, I never experienced so many issues, starting with the bluetooth compatibility with my car, it freezes sometimes when I need to switch cameras or even using Safari by trying to open a new tab.

While it is not ideal, I feel like I could deal with the camera and tab freezing, but It is very inconvenient to pick up my phone while I am driving so people can hear me via speaker.

Dude, just sell your iPhone 11 on eBay and get the iPhone SE 2020. works flawlessly. Has no BT connection issues with any car or device; has the same fast chip. Only thing missing is the face recognition which is a pain in the neck with COVID19 anyway.

After 3 iPhone 11's I gave up and went Android but was uncomfortable with all the apps/adds and security issues. So I bought trhe SE 2020, and it's a workhorse. I use phone for Business so I don't care about video games, large movie screen, I have Macbookks and PC's running 5 32 inch screens at office and home. The iPhone SE2020 is a champ.

I have a 2019 Ram with UConnect. Worked as advertised (AWESOMELY) until a UConnect had an update. My phone is currently running on the 13.6.1 and my truck is running on 13. something...

Needless to say not many of the functions are working correctly. Can anyone offer a workaround or am i stuck waiting until Uconnect updates (whenever that will be)

What about the impending apple IOS update in the fall of 2020 sometime????

audi mmi freezes within conversations,cannot answer with steering wheel button.

random disconnects trough calls.

latest update 13.6.1 did not resolve anything.

dissapponted, any ideas?

I wish I had an idea...I have a newer Q7 with very similar issues.

My workaround is to use AirPods but it defeats the purpose of buying a car with Bluetooth technology; especially on these “higher end” vehicles

I did have the service manager tel me he was deposed in a case very similar to what’s being described.

The arbiter for the defense asked if sales informed the plaintiff if the issue was disclosed upon purchase. The service manager replied “I have no idea I’m in service”

I have had this problem with my iphone 11 since the day I bought it, been in touch with Apple supprt twice (COMPLETE WAIST OF TIME). Today I was speaking to an alleged supervisor who said that he would look into this problem, I copied this thread that I supplied the URL for and that he said he would call me before 8pm. Guess what NO CALL!!!

Just about had enough now, this is terrible service. I dont even think they read these threads!!!!!!!!!

I have the transcript from the support team, dont suppose it would be needed though!

what happened? Is the bluetooth chip in 11 pro different as hardware? Or it is a software bug?

At this point, this issue will not be resolved with iOS13, so now we just have to wait and see if iOS14 will get rid of the bluetooth problem.

I agree the iPhone 11 PRO has the poorest performance of all my previous devices but hopefully the new system will fix it.

-phone connects to the car,synced wth contacts

-i got a call,trying to answer from the steering wheel,nothing happens

-can answer only from phone,phone disconnects from the car

-i can hear the caller only troigh phone

-finished the call, audi mmi freezes with the call previously answered

-it stays frozen,untill manually disconnected the phone( bluetooth off and on)

got in touch with audi,there is no software update for my car.They say that iphone 11 pro is 100% compatible with audi q7 (2017).

That tells you the issue is on Jaguar's end.

There is no "freeze the infotainment system" command in the Bluetooth protocol, so if it's happening, it's clearly a bug in Jaguar's software.

Still in trouble with my 11pro. If anything it's got worse rather than better.

I wonder how Apple will defend the lawsuit when a user crashes their car when trying to reconnect their phone?

When my phone drops I have to reconnect via my Ford Synch system rather than using the phone.

Because that would be a choice, you, the driver made.

Bluetooth or not, you don't ever need to be using your phone while driving; pull over and use your device; every police agency in the world will tell you that.

I'm still having the same problem. iPhone 11 Pro ( 13.6.1 ) disconnect during the conversation or after its end, the radio in the car frozen (Audi Q7 MMI )on this call, for a few minutes and I have to manually disconnect BT and reconnect with the car, but after 1-3 connections, the same again.

Very annoying. I didn't have any issues with other iPhone X or 8 ...
