iPhone 11 on iOS 13 having Bluetooth connectivity issues

New iPhone 11 on iOS 13 is having Bluetooth connectivity issues.

both my daughter and I are having the similar issues.

daughters phone is an 11 64GB Purple.

mine is an 11 128GB White

Hers gets connected to her 2018 Toyota C-HR and constantly drops out. Her iPhone 7 Plus never had any issues.

I have mine connected to a Boss BT module on my motorcycle. Never had any issues with my iPhone X.

neither of our other phones we’re running iOS 13.

I updated to 13.1.2 It looks like "MOST" of my issues have been fixed with this latest update. My 2012 Scion xB stock stereo is now not dropping or getting garbled calls. My iFrogz headphones are now staying connected when paused in Pandora.

The only remaining bug(s) I'm seeing are:

  1. Hey Siri is somewhat spotty. Like the phone isn't hearing me sometimes. Very random.
  2. When placing a call via Hey Siri in my car, the bluetooth connection between my iphone 11 and my scion xB, will connect/disconnect several times before the dialing sound starts. Once the dialing starts, it stays connected.

I don’t think any of the other iPhones have problems with Bluetooth connections. I had a perfectly good iPhone 7 but because Apple discontinue updates as phones get older I thought I’d get the latest to get a longer life from it. As I am driving all day (London Taxi), I must be hands free and private. If I had know about this really bad oversight that Apple have said nothing about, it’s the biggest *** going. I feel I have been cheated.

The laws over here state that you have to be free of choice of provider, hence why phones here are all without simlock.

T-Mobile had to wait for stock from Apple, then it came straight to my home, my phone practically came straight from Apple, so that’s not the problem. 🤷🏼‍♀️

iOS 13.6 didn’t do any fixing, so I’m hoping for an update soon that can fix this ***** problem.

That's why I no longer use my iPhone 11. Had so many problems and spent hours, days, weeks trying to make it work like my older iPhone. Finally I got the iPhone SE 2020 and it runs like a champ, like a rocket. No Blue Tooth issues, only thing it doesn't have is the face recognition, But wearing face masks that;s become a pain, it's not polite to take your face mask down to get face recognition, The SE2020 rocks, Probably the 12 will be good too but I got tired of all the apps you need with an Android, So I just bought latest iPad and latest iPhone SE 2020 and I'm back in business, Even when I'm using my Business number on the SE as primary, I still get calls from my personal secondary and text messages from both. That's more like it Apple. Apple ROCKS!

Cudos Apple! can't wait till the 13, think will use my 2020 SE for a while. No issues. Pairs with anything. It even wants to pair with my security system and doorbell

Having only just bought the iPhone 11 plus the Apple 2 years warranty, I’d love to change it for the SE but it’s sets me back so much I can’t afford to take the hit. Lucky I have a 7+ that works fine with Bluetooth so I use that for calls. I don’t accept calls when driving. Return calls when I can and stationary. BUT APPLE HAD BETTER GET THIS SORTED AND BLOODY FAST BEFORE THEIR REPUTATION TAKES A MASSIVE HIT. UNLESS THEY DON’T CARE AND JUST FORGE ON WITH 12 & 13 LETTING US POOR FAITHFUL POUR MORE MONEY SUPPORTING THEM DOWN THE DRAIN.

come on Samsung, Nokia & the others, don’t worry about the camera just make a phone that works well with Bluetooth . You might get the edge in sales.

If Apple don’t fix the Bluetooth connection problem PDQ. They should buy the iPhone 11 models back and allow their up to now loyal customers, not for much longer I fear. How many drivers have had a ticket for holding their phoneHis tweet froms because the Bluetooth won’t work. Not only could I get a ticket but could loose my taxi licence. They don’t even tell us what, if anything, they are doing to try and fix it. They just have an update and let us poor sods fault find. You phone Apple and the reps and engineers just roll out the usual diatribe. They have no idea. Come on Apple get the 11 series working before launching the next model, or is that the idea. We do fed up with this crap that we throw it out to buy the new model AGAIN.

I, too have a Jaguar 2017 XE sport. Old phone worked perfectly, New I-phone 11 pro (purchased in Feb.) has dropped calls ever since. Jaguar service dept has kept the car 3 different times.... they paired several of their own older i phones and they all worked perfect. Have tried every suggestion given in this very long thread of problems, nothing has fixed this issue. Apple tech at the genius bar says nothing wrong with this phone. Amazing considering how many others just in this thread have the same issue. How does one get Apple engineers to see all our complaints? Terrible customer service on this problem.

I am having the same issue, so far my iPhone 11 Pro has been the least - PRO - experience I have had with iPhones.

It won’t connect to my 2018 KIA so it’s imposible to make and receive calls via Bluetooth.

I know how to use Bluetooth and already tried deleting devices, resetting and even formatting my phone, it’s also running the latest updates and it just doesn’t work.

I’ve had no trouble so far connecting my 11 to my SAMSUNG TV’s for YOU TUBE or films. I won’t use it to connect to my car as I don’t drive it enough. I only use Bluetooth earpiece when driving my cab.

i don’t get any problem staying paired but having bought several new earpieces, V4.1 & V5.0 I find with them the person I am speaking too can’t hear me. Anybody else get that problem. My phone has latest update.

When it comes to all this technology I’m still in the pager and nearest “call box” era. When I started driving a cab we had 2-way radio and a human dispatcher. Now all these APPS!!! I just want to make calls legally when driving. No problem with my 4, 4s, 7, &7plus. The later I still have,, thank heaven. So why, what, when & where did Apple make this error. It’s not deliberate, unless it’s a huge hack from a telecom company that is being told they can’t play in the U.K. & U.S.A. anymore. Sorry I can never spell their name. I have one earpiece, a cheap JABRA copy, that people seem to hear me ok. All the rest they say I’m hardly audible and garbled. My wife says I’m always like that. Because the problems are so diverse, the guys at Apple must be pulling their hair out.

P.S. can somebody tell what is IOS 14 beta. Too what it applies

Hi there. I upgraded from an iPhone 8 to iPhone 11 about 2 months ago. Ever since then I have had issues in my 2016 Jeep Patriot to the point I just had to delete my phone off UConnect. It would connect and disconnect 2 seconds later over and over and over again. I even took my car to the dealer and paid $160 for a UConnect update that I was told would work and it did nothing. Is it IOS? Please send any advice!
