iPhone 11 on iOS 13 having Bluetooth connectivity issues

New iPhone 11 on iOS 13 is having Bluetooth connectivity issues.

both my daughter and I are having the similar issues.

daughters phone is an 11 64GB Purple.

mine is an 11 128GB White

Hers gets connected to her 2018 Toyota C-HR and constantly drops out. Her iPhone 7 Plus never had any issues.

I have mine connected to a Boss BT module on my motorcycle. Never had any issues with my iPhone X.

neither of our other phones we’re running iOS 13.

I updated to 13.1.2 It looks like "MOST" of my issues have been fixed with this latest update. My 2012 Scion xB stock stereo is now not dropping or getting garbled calls. My iFrogz headphones are now staying connected when paused in Pandora.

The only remaining bug(s) I'm seeing are:

  1. Hey Siri is somewhat spotty. Like the phone isn't hearing me sometimes. Very random.
  2. When placing a call via Hey Siri in my car, the bluetooth connection between my iphone 11 and my scion xB, will connect/disconnect several times before the dialing sound starts. Once the dialing starts, it stays connected.

I have just bought an iPhone 12 mini 256gb. Haven’t had a chance to try Bluetooth earpiece as I only received it yesterday but I too like the small size. The earlier models were getting too big, a bit like the old SHARP “BRICK” of the 80’s & 90’s. the 12 mini is more like my old 4s, more convenient. I hate the way Apple stop updating their products to force you to buy the later model. If necessary why not have an update and charge for it. They would still make their profit. I have a perfectly good iPad 2 but it’s stopped at I.o.s 10. Can’t give it away. My two 4s 64gb, perfectly good phones but only managed to get £10 each. In this world where companies are trying to go green Apple could sell updates for older hardware to save millions of item ending up on the scrap. I know some parts are recycled but still a lot of cases, screens, chassis’s and other bits are junked. What a waste.

But I will say that if you use a Bluetooth speaker to listen to music say in your barn while you work, do not leave your phone close to the speaker will quit working not long into the day due to decibel level exposure. This is because apple and the WHO (world Heath Organization) same people who protected us from covid, have "teamed up to together to protect your health and hearing" . And I wish I was joking

That's great to hear. I sold my iPhone 11 and bought an SE 2020 and was working fine with the Motorola headsets preferred by attorneys, but after the latest updates they started unpairing or sounding like I was on speakerphone or far away. So I experimented and bought new Marnana Blue tooth ear bud , it's bigger but I get perfect reception now and the battery life is like 24 hours on standby unlike the AirPods that the battery drains and you look like a teenager hearing music instead of a professional walking into a court room. Those air pods are eye brow raisers in front of a judge.

Apple needs to design some bluetoooh ear pods not made for music. They will have us all look like children wearing Airpods listening to music. Not Acceptable for grown ups. I can't walk into a court room looking like I'm listening to hip-hop

This cheap Marnana ear buds serves well for business. For music and running BOSE blows away Airbuds

For attorneys the preferred choice has always been the Motorola Boom 2 Headset. Small. Black and it's like a flip phone. Flip it open and it connects right to the phone. People can't tell you are not holding phone to ear. They were working great with my new iPhone SE2020 (after I dumped the total disaster 11). With new updates they started disconnecting. And I'm not about to walk in a court room wearing Air Pods like a teenager playing music.

Amazon has these new Marnana Headsets which work great with 19 hours of talk time unlike Air Pods that keep draining whether you are on the phone or not. They are little bigger but it's crystal clear, new Bluetooth technology on them and I got them for $20 dollars. For music I wear BOSE which blow away Air Pods. I gave up on the Motorola's. I need to be HANDS FREE

I was thinking of trying the iPhone 12 which has solved a lot of issues, plus it's got the 5G capability. That iPhone 11 was not even 5G capable. My workhorse now is the temporary fix Apple did by shooting out the iPhone SE 2020. They work great same CPU same speed, only no 5G. Bit not in great rush for the 5G

.

I did hear that Samsung Galaxy new models also having same Bluetooth connectivity issues. Both Apple and Samsung got ripped off by the Chinese on the Bluetooth Transmitters. All we can do is adapt. They are not backward compatible. We have to buy 2022 cars in some cases. China strikes again.

Same phone (SE series 2), now updated to OS 14.4 .... still disconnecting from car audo system including during calls. Its been a continuous problem for past 12 months and no troubleshooting corrects the issue. No solution from apple.

Fed up with apple rolling out software updates that create problems and refuse to fork out $$ to upgrade all my bluetooth devices to suit apple software upgrades. Connectivity is a basic function for this technology and the failure to correct this issue for more than 12 months despite multiple OS updates says it all .... time to move to android platform
