Series 3 Watch OS 6 Stand goal not working Properly

I have an Apple Watch Series 5 with watchOS 6.1. There’s an issue with the stand hour counting mechanism. It sometimes counts the hour before hand or misses on counting the hour. It’s very irritating, can Apple fix this ASAP.

Like I said before same thing happening to me in Series 2 Watch after OS6.1 upgrade. Also no reminders are coming just 10 minutes before the hour in case you have not stood up for that long. This is very annoying. Hope Apple fixes it soon.

I’m having the same problem. I live in Newfoundland, Canada (GMT -3:30). I tried changing the time on the phone manually, and putting in a time zone that doesn’t have the 1/2 hour issue, and it worked, but then I started having issues with sending text message (would come up as unable to send, but then would sent). Up until the 6.1 update it worked just fine.

I'm in touch with Apple, last week they took diagnostics from watch and also have taken screenshots and videos of the problem.

They have sent the same to engineering team and haven't got any update on the same yet

I've been having the same issue with my series 5 since day one, also in South Australia, but when I've tried changing the timezone on my phone to Victoria it hasn't solved the issue.

I've been in contact with Apple support for a month and a half trying to fix it, they finally agreed to replace the watch, I sent it to the service center last Sunday, picked up the replacement last night. The new watch (no idea if it's brand new or refurbished) is STILL HAVING THE ISSUE. I'm so incredibly frustrated by this, but at this point I think there's nothing else I can do but hope Apple releases a patch to fix it.

I was told by both the specialist at the call center and the genius at the Apple store that they've had multiple reports, so it's a known issue and they're aware of it, but obviously they haven't been able to fix it as yet.

I also use a timer to ensure I stand between 40-55 slot as I too live in 30 minute time zone.

I am completing all my rings for last 6 months and I am also paranoid about this.

If I miss the above slot chances are 1 hour gone which is pretty annoying.

I sincerely hope Apple takes this seriously and fixes this bug in next update.

I have good news !!

After many calls with Apple engineers and taking many logs, the engineering team acknowledged that this is a bug and it seems many customers have similar issue. I was told by the support team that they will fix this in the software update soon , so we have to wait and see.

New update for the Apple Watch has just been released, no specific mention of the problem, but appears to be fixed. At least, my stand hour this hour was correctly placed in the right time. ie 9:28am stand hour went into the 9-10 slot.

My phone / watch are still working on the update ... I guess 'preparing' means it goes through my whole data set of 4+ years, hence my update always takes forever ... has been over an hour now ... missing stand hours this way, don't dare to take watch off the charger ;)
