remote management - your credentials are either missing or wrong

Hi All,

I am trying to enrol some iOS devices with Apple's Profile Manager and I am facing the following error after I've entered the credentials "remote management your credentials are either missing or wrong".

iOS devices are DEP enabled

iOS 12.4 / 12.4.1 and 13

Server app 5.8

The last time I enrolled a device was 24th August 2019 but again was facing issues with Request Timed Out. Apple got involved and asked me to factory wipe the device and then try again. It enrolled straight away with no issues.

Since the new iOS 13 was released, 19th September 2019, server app alerted that either DEP or Profile Manager was disabled. I went through the prompts to enable and download and upload the DEP token to the MDM server. This is when I started to face the "remote management your credentials are either missing or wrong" error message.

I had Apple support on the phone today and to rule out any DEP enrolment issues, we enrolled the device without user credentials and was successful. But soon as I enable "user credentials" this is when I get the error message. Please note, the user can successfully log into the device portal https://domain.com/mydevices with no issues. It is only when enrolling the device.

Have you experience the same issue? Appreciate any support.

Many thanks
