Siri doesn't speak but only writes to my questions. What is wrong?

I have 7plus . ios 12.4.1. Siri doesn't speak but only writes to my questions. What is wrong? Also Siri can't make phone calls even though she says she is calling the correct number. Why? (In the past there was no problem)

Another problem I have during phone calls is that people on the other side of the line can't hear me properly, they say my voice is muffled and cut. All voice and sound checks on my phone is ok.

Any idea why this happens and how to correct it?

Hi zey007,

Thanks for the post. I see you have an issue with Siri and with audio on calls.

For the Siri issue, start with this resource: If Siri or "Hey Siri" isn't working

"If Siri doesn't speak responses

Siri might not respond verbally if your device is muted or Voice Feedback is turned off. While you're on the Siri screen, try to increase the volume level on your device. Then check your Voice Feedback settings:

  • On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > Siri & Search > Voice Feedback. From here, you can change how Siri responds. For example, you can have Siri always respond or only when you're using the Hands-Free setting."

To troubleshoot the microphone/call audio issue, I recommend this link: If the microphones on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch aren't working

If you complete all of the troubleshooting in the links above and the issues persist, I suggest getting in touch with Apple: Contact Apple Support

Have a great day.
