Find Movie files downloaded from iTunes Store to move to an external drive

I want to move an iTunes downloaded movie to an external drive to save space on my late 2013 MacBook Pro with High Sierra 10.13.6.

I'm opening my user 'Music' folder and see my download iTunes music but not an iTunes Media folder.

I can view the downloaded movie by opening iTunes. But where is it stored on my drive?

Spent twenty minutes searching online for this answer. The same question asked many times. And I'm following those ideas but come up blank.

You should be able to right-click on a downloaded item in iTunes and use Show in Finder to reveal its location. That will also show on the File tab of Get Info (Cmd+I). If you move a file to a different volume iTunes will lose track of it, but you can show it where to find the move file after the fact. The standard location for a movie file would be <User>/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Movies/<Title>/<Title>.<Ext>, but if you'd selected an alternate location of the iTunes Media folder at some point then it would be in there.

the right click on the film to 'show in finder' did the trick. thanks!

( for some reason my 'movies' folder is in the ITunes music folder but NOT in an Itunes Media folder. )

See Make a split library portable - Apple Community. I suspect that at some point you've either dragged it there by mistake and, because it is a Mac, it has continued to work, or you've selected the iTunes folder as the media folder instead of iTunes/iTunes Media.
