IOS 13.1 iPhone - privacy location bug NOT fixed.

Apparently updating 13.1 on phone did not fix the privacy location issue. Anyone else???

I did install this latest 13.2 update and it has corrected the privacy issues and a few other annoying bugs. Wonder how long it will last. BUT NOW - the battery drain is far worse than before. As much as I’m glad for a fix with these lingering problems, it’s just awful that Apple sacrifices battery life in order to achieve these fixes.

It seems that some bugs are still not entirely fixed: Fix one issue within a certain feature and then it creates other options unusable.

Still much needs to be done by Apple to get things running better.

Hopefully, your battery doesn’t become an issue. I had a new battery installed several months ago and still has much life left, no reason for this drainage issue other than another bug to deal with.

the location issue cleared up for a few days and last night and today it came back with a vengeance. my ipad does not have the issue at all, which is the weird part.

I bought a pair of air pod pros and every time I open the case my location is being tracked. I cannot find a way to remove the air pods from showing their location to my phone. very annoying. I deleted the pairing from my phone and the location issue became much less of an issue (it barely did it anymore), but as soon as i add them back the location tracking icon keeps popping up in my phone

Ok, finally we found the core of the problem.... a function Apple have build in without telling anyone that it's there for chip U1.

I find absurd how we need that a "random" (non to desrespetc Brian Krebs, is just for saying) security researcher bring up the case at international level to have an answer that the users have been asking to Apple for quite some time.

Now they say in future they will add a flag to deactivate this UWB but in the meantime we are stuck with the problem, and they say it's perfectly normal.... if I were in the USA I'll have already started a class action.
