Podcast App crashing again on IOS 13.1 ?

I updated yesterday to iOs 13.1 from 13.0 and the podcast app began to crash. It worked fine on 13.0. Is anything known about the issue? A workaround? I haven't found anything yet in the web.

Podcast App keeps crashing My Podcast app on my iPhone6 crashes within 10 seconds of opening it. I’ve tried turning my phone off and on and I’ve tried closing the app. It crashes when using WiFi, when turning WiFi off, and when in Airplane Mode. My software is up to date (iOS 12.2) I use the app all the time and have never had any major issues with it until it randomly stopped working today. Any suggestions?

iOS 16.5 broke wired CarPlay Podcasts Ironically, the release notes state that ios16.5 fixes issues that some people suffered using Podcasts via CarPlay on 14.6.1. I had no problem using PC before upgrading, but since moving to 16.5 earlier today Podcasts doesn’t launch when using CarPlay (or launches but immediately crashes). PC works fine on my phone (13Pro), and everything else appears to work in CarPlay. I upgraded to 14.5 for the security fixes, but may revert back to 14.6.1 so that PC works again for me.

Mine was crashing on opening as well. Long pressing the app icon and starting an episode from the pop-up menu fixed the issue for me. Accessing from the Home Screen widget might also clear it up.
