Windows 10, QuickTime installer "ul....." error code help

I recorded a video on my phone and now i want to edit it but in my editor it told me to install quicktime because .MOV files apparently arent friendly with Win10 because even normally i cant open any .MOV on my computer. but i try to install quicktime but during the install i keep getting an error I really need this software apparently to use any videos from my phone on my computer any help or am i doomed?

QuickTime for Windows was discontinued several years ago. I guess there should be other software to fill the gap. Like AVI, MOV is just a wrapper for the codecs inside the file.

Please find a modern movie editor that does not rely on QuickTime being installed to handle MOV files. Any editor released for Windows 8 or later should have a different way of handling MOVs.
