IOS 13.1 issue with Mazda MZD

Hi all, I have upgraded my iPhone XR to IOS 13.1. My car (Mazda) infotainment can connect to my iPhone hotspot. Ever since moving to IOS 13.1, the car has stopped remembering the hotspot password after I shut it down. It was OK on IOS 12. I have tried rebooting the phone and deleting the hotspot from the car's hotspot history

I have tried every single troubleshooting step to no avail. My iPad will connect to other wifi and other hotspots. Steps I have tried include: restarting, including a hard reset of both devices. restoring network settings to factory. numerous variations of turning wifi on/off and hotspot on/off. connecting to other wifi typing in the password, sharing the password from the phone changing the password all other recommended troubleshooting steps. changing from manual to auto join and vice versa Any more ideas??

how to hide the personal hotspot password How to hide the personal hotspot password? someone, can see my password, connected to my phone when I turn off and turn on the personal hotspot on the train, it was because my wife's iphone were not able to reconnect to the hotspot.

Can't connect old iPad mini to iPhone 11 (IOS 15.4) hotspot Hi all. Brand new iPhone 11 running IOS 15.4 with a data plan that allows personal hotspot. Hotspot is activated and visible to all devices (new iPad (9th generation), 2012 iMac (OS X 10.13.6)) This iPad and the iMac see and are able to connect to the iPhone's hotspot. However, an old iPad mini (2012, Model A1454 (WiFi + cellular)), which is not connected to the cellular network, has problems: it see's the phone' hotspot, asks for the password (which I enter correctly) but then, I always get the message "Unable to join the network "Michel's iPhone 11". HOWEVER, this old iPad mini connects flawlessly to my girlfriend's iPhone (Model iPhone 5s, running IOS 12.5.5!!! Does anyone have a clue? Thanks!

Thanks all for the replies, I currently have a support ticket open with Apple and have uploaded diagnostic logs, screenshots and a video demonstrating the issue. Waiting to hear back. FYI Mazda Australia have responded that they're not aware of the issue

Hi, I have exactly same problem. Even with latest IOS 13.2.1 upgrade it is bit better (was disconnecting hotspot even during phone conersation). Still, after each engine start I need to rewrite password.

it is really annoying. Anyone can help?

Bad news, I have replied twice to the engineer's email and have had no replies. Called the Apple number and provided his extension, and the automated message said the extension is invalid. Trying Apple again via support chat.

I have the exact same problem using an iPhone 8. Since the upgrade to IOS 13 the car no longer remembers the password for the iPhone's hotspot. Really annoying.

Thanks for that update. I think I'll try to get hold of someone here in Mazda UK to see if they can have any influence, it could have more impact if it comes from Mazda themselves.

I too have a 2014 Mazda 3 and have this exact same issue. Apple please resolve this ASAP.
