Not able to share internet over wifi from mac

I am unable to connect to the internet from my iPhone XR. First of all I switched internet sharing from my Mac, then when I tried connecting it from my phone, it showed incorrect password though the password entered was the same. Then I tried connecting to it after removing the password, but now it showed "Unable to Join to the Network". All phones showed similar problems. Then I figured out that there is something definitely wrong with my Mac. I hope that you guys help me figure out the problem.
