iPhone 11 Pro Max noise from back of phone

Hello,

I'm curious if anyone else notices this... When I put my ear up to the back of my iPhone 11 Pro Max in the center near the Apple logo I can hear noises. The noise sounds a bit like a fuzzy TV screen but ultimately sounds like the processor is working hard. It doesn’t seem to matter when I check the noise, happens all the time. It is faint so the room has to be a bit quiet. I brought it into an Apple store and they took it into the back room and could hear what I was hearing. They told me not to worry, just sounds like the processor but I could return it and get a new phone if I wanted. I just wanted to know if there was something wrong. I was able to listen to a display phone at the Apple store as the tech brought me and one into the back room where I could hear the noise although not nearly as apparent as mine. I decided to keep the phone since I had already successfully transferred everything from my iPhone XS Max. Please post if you notice a similar sound. Thanks!

I dont have this issue, but if I press softly in the middle of the phone near Apple logo and the screen. Its making a popping sound from the screen and a clicking noise from the back.

This is my second iPhone 11 Pro Max. Just got a new one today, and I will return this one aswell. Waiting for my third phone, if that one is not working I am done with Apple products.

Thank you for your response. Mine makes a constant noise but is very faint. The background noise has to be quiet to hear it and otherwise hasn’t effected anything but is annoying. I checked my last model phone - XS Max and my wife’s iPhone X and both don’t make a sound at all when put up to the ear. Since I don’t hear the noise unless I put it up to my ear and it’s very quiet I have just grown to “be ok with it”. I was going to trade it in for another one but then I have the hassle of transferring everything again and logging into all the apps, etc. Not happy but it sounds like the processor of a computer working and I heard it on the floor models in the Apple store too so I figured it’s ok since it works otherwise.

Your issue sounds like a definite problem. Perhaps with the haptic system?? You got the same result with a second new phone??
