What is the Structured Service app and how do I get rid of it?
No idea what you are referring to , please advise where and when you see it. Also when posting please provide more information such as which iMac you have and the version of Mac OS installed. It may benefit you if you looked over the information in https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-5931
I have an iMAC 2015. current OS - Mojave 10.14.6 model 17,1. I receive a message that "Apple wants to make changes" and I am invited to sign in. I push "cancel," Then a blank screen appears with "loading..." but nothing loads. The only way to get out of the screen is to Force Quit. Then I delete the application in Finder. The same thing happens with an app called WindowMix
It's a pop up. My other open screens are behind the "Apple" message and the blank
loading screen but I cannot get to them unless I Force Quit and see the program that is not responding - today it was "WindowMix," and on other days it has been the Structured Serve App.
Well I did some research and you downloaded some malware, that is what the Structured Service app is. Please download and run the free version of Malwarebytes and I think that may help you get rid of it.
Going forward, it is simple to avoid malware by using a little common sense. This includes NEVER downloading something from a popup, never download from a site you do not know and trust, never use a Torrent to download software you did not pay for.
Excellent! Please mark this thread as solved it could probably help another user.
Is the message a popup that appears , also can you do a screen shot of it so we can view it?
Thank you. I have tried to use some common sense but this one seems to have gotten by me. I cannot think where it came from since I am usually quite vigilant but obviously not vigilant enough.
I have the same problem. Was you able to resolve your problem and if so, how ?
He hasn't resolved it however if you download and use Malwarebytes as suggested that very well may take care of it.
Malwarebytes seems to have solved the problem. Thank you
