In Catalina: How to convert a music track to audio book

Now that in Catalina iTunes was split into Music, TV, Podcasts and Books, how do I change the media kind of an MP3, which will automatically open in Music, from “music” to “audio book?” What looks like a pull-down menu only has one option on it: “music.”

  1. Right-click on the item and use Show in Finder so you know where it stored.
  2. In the Books app use File > Add to Library.
  3. Remove the item from the Music app.

Note that the Books app has no features for editing metadata, so do this in Music first when you want to add new audiobooks.
