How do you delete group text suggestions on iOS 13?

Yes I have that problem also and would like to delete my history

They're "experts" also obviously haven't taken the time to test their own half-assed solutions. "Turning Siri search off" doesn't work...FOR ANYONE!!!!!

13.4 update definitely cleared the caching of grouped messages. With that being said, I would not call this a permanent fix since they are likely to return and you still can't delete them.

i opened a message and saw groups. Closed message and reopened and suggested groups were gone! So it does work‼️😜

can you pls help all of us and allow removal of the group contact suggestions. several of us have tried the suggestions provided and they are not working. your attention and help to this matter is appreciated!

I have posted this question. I have reported it over and over. They truly don’t care. Everyone at my job has Android phones. I’m the only one that can’t text a group because of the hundreds of contacts. I have to text the manager to get her to respond to the group so I can talk. Another update today. And still no fix. I guess they’ll see when everyone leaves Apple.

I also think this is ridiculous! I called the Apple store near me to ask about this and they had no answer. This problem is just annoying enough to me that i will most likely go Android for my next phone upgrade. yeah...If there is no update fix for this problem, I’ll be switching.

I’m with you. I’ve been bringing this to them. They don’t care. The best answer I got... tell your job to use an app for texting so you can all get on the same page. Wtf! I can’t do group messaging because there’s so many old ones I can’t tell what group is what. It’s affecting my job terribly. If they don’t fix it soon I have no choice but to go android. It’s costing me my job.

Does Apple read these discussions and see that this is a major issue that lots of people care about having fixed? We aren’t asking for a new feature, we are asking for it to be returned to the way it was in iOS 12.

I'm on board with everyone. I hate that I can't delete these suggestions like in the past. I type the letter "M" and tons of numbers/suggestions come up for ppl I don't even know that I suppose a contact included on some previous group text.

You are correct about a contact you have sent a group to you and is now yours. That person might have deleted their group on an android phone. And now you are stuck with it until Apple fixes in a long over due update.

This fuking ridiculous! Where is the privacy protection with this? I mean, imagine if you were texting to a group of employees about a issue with a boss and you didn't want your him to know that you even were in some kind of text conversation with the group. He could easily have you type a few characters and then realize that the group were texting each other. Imagine if it were a company phone? Maybe ppl need to sue apple a few times!

They seriously don’t care. We’ve been complaining for months now. It’s not a hard fix. They fixed it many years ago and it was fine until now. I seriously can’t use group messaging for work. It’s affected my job like no other. I’m still in a lease and I’m stuck.

Step 1: Open the Messages App on your iPhone > Open the group text you want to leave. button. Step 3: Tap on the “Leave this Conversation” option at the bottom of the screen, and you will be removed from the group text.
