iOS 13/13.1 safari issues

Since upgrading to iOS 13/13.1, I have been having issues with safari loading web pages. It goes not seem to affect all pages, however on some google searches and web pages, it’s finishes loading however no content is displayed. This is happening on my iPhone X which is one 13.1, also on my iPad Air 2 which is also on 13.1 and my old iPhone 7 Plus which is on 13.

anyone else having this same issue and is there a fix for this?

I have the same issue and it’s extremely annoying! On a brand new iPhone 11 Pro. iOS 13.2 did not resolve the issue. Safari would randomly refuse to load pages (as it in loads but displays a blank page), unable to refresh, webpages are not correctly displayed and displays content that cannot be clicked because the click locations are misaligned! Google chrome exhibits none of the symptoms. WhatsApp is buggy too, displays text in the wrong places at times!

I have this issue too on latest update. I spent 1 hour on phone with apple - they are still investigating. They captured all my data and are investigating.

I had no extensions, or content blockers, or any other widgets enabled.

Happening on iPad, iPhone and on mac.

This is super annoying. I hate using chrome, Firefox, have to go through all the fluff of transferring bookmarks etc.

It is a pain.

Glad I’m not the only one. Will update you, when they have an answer. Super, super pain in the a**!!

Question for everyone... not rhetorical.

Is the weird page not loading issue only occurring on Google AMP pages?

I hardly ever directly type web addresses in any more, instead I just simply type in the safari search and almost always it takes me to a Google AMP’d version of the intended page.

Im not sure yet if my issue is only isolated to that, I have replicated the issue in a few a days. My hunch says its Java related.

I have this issue repeatedly on my iPad 2 only. I am using the default Google search engine. Problem only since iOS 13 and is driving me batty.

Some pages are blank after loading. I can usually get the page in reader view, but not in mobile or full website view.

Other times, the pages load too high up on the screen, with most of the page hidden behind the url address bar & bookmarks.

Clearing browser history briefly fixes this, but I don’t want to clear several times a day.

Still ongoing incident with Apple as far as I am concerned - I have given them screen recordings, system files, configs, and am waiting for what the engineers are saying. I have no idea how long its going to take.

How can a browser not render half the page!!

This is so annoying - its taken up loads of time, and still no resolution. Good to know its not only me.

Same for me, I have a ticket opened for 2 months already and engineering still does not have a fix for it!

I've sent diagnostics, screen recording multiple times.

According to the latest information from the expert taking care of my case, engineering knows exactly what the issue is but have not created a fix for it yet.

I was promised version 13.4 will fix the issue, the only problem is they don't know when that version will be released. In 1 week, 1 month, 3 months???

Anyone knows if there is a class action already opened for this issue?

Still no response from Apple - it is super ridiculous. Not sure when the next update is happening - but I hope it tackles this issue. They say they are only collating information - for the engineers. Not sure if they have scheduled anything on this, as yet.

We can hope.

It is a pain. I had to use Firefox, for now. I may just switch for good. I thought Safari could do most of what I wanted - but obviously not!

Ok... fair enough.

Yeah I guess I was trolling a bit. Definitely did not want to come off arrogant... just keeping it real and calling it how I see it. But reading my aforementioned response... it actually contradicts me a little. It was more of impulsive response but whatever its moot... I digress.

So from my standpoint, bring solutions to the table... provide feedback and a an educated response to the solution(s) working or not working. Provide additional suggestions for any temporary work-arounds until the problem(s) get addressed.

Getting a notification daily about this thread and beings optimistic on some new news and seeing the same old complaints it got a little old.

Ok Sure,

Your right, I digress.

1/17/2020 ios 13.3 11pro max. and still having issues with safari. In general it’s like the memory management is flawed. I clear safari & reboot my phone several time a day just to keep functioning. This is honestly the first negative opinion I’ve had of an apple product but I’m considering firing up my old 6S Plus out of frustration.

Same issue and tried it all except an Android. Maybe that is next.

Didn't buy a new MacBook Pro, thank God. Windows works and an i7 cost me $300 not $3000.

iCloud massively flawed and moving to O365 and One Drive...except I can’t get my files out of iCloud Drive.

Held on to iPhone 6s for a long time and won’t buy another iAnything. Sorry I upgraded my iPad to latest cheapo 6.

Try this. Go to settings, safari default search engine. Change to anything but google,

i checked yahoo. So far problem gone. Not an expert by any means but since Google software and its platform devices are in competition with Apple software and it’s platform devices, perhaps there is a bug in google search engine that freezes safari but not chrome. End result, you become a google fan.

ive noticed when I disable WiFi I can surf without issue. I’m not sure if that means I’m experiencing a different issue with similar symptoms or if the issue is actually connected to WiFi. I don’t recall if I’ve ever experienced the problem when using sell data or not. Has anyone else experienced the issue on both cellular data and WiFi?
