I have the new iPhone 11 Pro Max and a 2018 Nissan Maxima with carplay. Carplay worked with my previous Iphone X even after the IOS 13 upgrade but with the Iphone 11 Pro Max carplay just keeps saying it won't start and retries again. Any ideas?

I fixed mine today! I had Siri deactivated on the side switch turned off because I became annoyed with it coming up on my lock screen often when I grabbed my phone. Siri must be enabled for CarPlay to work on my 2017. Went to settings: general: Siri and turned it back in and CarPlay started working perfectly!
So, I’m confused about the cable. I used the one that came with the iPhone 11. Are you guys saying to buy a new one? Are they different than the one that came with the new phone?
The one that came with my phone is lightning on one end & universal C on the other. That won’t plug into my car. I have to have usb on one end & lightning on the other.
Same. Everything worked fine on my iPhone X with the latest software. I updated to try’s 11 Pro Max from a backup and apple CarPlay now doesn’t work. Same car.
My 11 pro max keeps kicking off as well on my 2019 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE. iPhone 8 Plus seems to work fine though, going to try my iPhone SE to see if it works.
Explain wireless issues then?
We paying all this money for something that’s not working correctly. Apple gotta do better
I bought the exact same adapter and I had no luck. What iOS are you running on your phone? I am running 13.2.3
One thing I also noticed is that every time I touch the screen and Face ID comes up. My CarPlay immediately disconnects and reconnects after a few seconds. I am pretty sure this is a bug in iOS.
Just tried the USB adapter. Did not work for me. So frustrating. 2020 Toyota 4Runner. Can’t talk on phone at all thru CarPlay. Any new news?
I have a 2020 Tundra with the same problem. I’ve read that Apple and Toyota are working on a fix. Time will tell.
Just changed from an 8+ to Pro Max and no CarPlay in my 2017 Chevy Bolt!!
I just tried an official Iphone cord and it made no difference........
I would like more details. Is this a setting in the car or on the phone? I can’t find a radio setting in the car.
iOS 13.3 Beta 4 didn't fix the CarPlay problems. Still having them in a 2018 Nissan Murano. Hoping that Apple can figure this out for the final release of 13.3.
