coordinatorplus app

For the last couple of days a new icon has appeared in my browser and locked my computer temporarily which seems to be called Coordinator Plus (see image of icon on my dock below)

It seems to be an extension which changes the search engine I use from google to yahoo, but i do not know if it is doing anything more sinister. I thought that I had removed all traces of it yesterday by deleting it as both an extension and the package (by putting in trash and emptying it. But at about the same time as it appeared yesterday it came back again today. Does anyone know what this is, and how to get rid of it?

I had the very same thing happen to me with coordinatorplus app 2 days in a row now. Then this anysearch.com browser takes over my chrome browser. I had the anysearch.com recurring trouble a year ago and finally got rid of it (I thought). I work with clients overseas on my computer and if it interrupts when I'm on with a client this may jeopardize my job. Can anyone advise???

Hi, I have the same problem and tried to run Malwarebytes, but it doesn't recognise the problem and says my computer is clean!

Have the same problem since few days and today he App appears with a name CoverOpen. I am frightened. What can I do?

You should remove Norton Security. It doesn't do anything useful, and can cause problems.

It may be possible that your Mac got "infected" with malware/adware. At this point I would suggest that you run an EtreCheck report and post it so that we can assist you with this.
