I've had my phone plugged in for 3 days and its still says indexing.. turned off messages then back on and I see downloading still.. man this is ridiculous... I've reverted to my old iPhone. I guess I'll get to look at the new 11 but never use it since it won't work as I need it to work.. Unreal.. I'm about to throw it in the trash and just start using something else...
Have you tried waiting until it finishes indexing?
as in just not using my phone? Does it need to be plugged in? How long?
I have no idea of how long. I think you should be able to use the phone. Have you tried a restart?
Yes I’ve restarted it & last night I left it alone while I was sleeping for at least 8 hours. Been like this I updated it to iOS 13 & 13.1
Still having the issue. 😬
I left it alone again for about a third of the day— it’s ok now.
Just updated to iOS 13.1.1 & the issue is reoccurring.
Most likely the update reset everything and it started over.
I cannot get any old photos in messages from people. go to (i) and it says indexing... my phone has been updated for a few weeks.. this is ridiculous... does anyone else have this issue
You might want to consider starting a new discussion. Since this one is marked solved, less people are likely to look at it. A new post would be much more visible. You can link to this one.
