I've already done what’s in the guide. The compass on my watch my varying amounts every time that I try to use it, but it’s never close to accurate.
Mine is also off about 90 degrees. How do I calibrate? The above link was not helpful and very basic.
Mine S5 is the same compass off by 60 degrees. The artical as others have said is useless. Anyone ever figure it out?
I too have this problem. An inaccurate compass is a real danger to me as I walk in the mountains of Spain and France. The deafening silence from Apple is completely unacceptable.

My compass is 90% wrong and reading all here, the cause is probably that the app sucks. right?
I’m glad that that worked for you, but I’ve been using the silicone sport bands. I can’t imagine the little tiny metal button would cause this issue.
Not helpful.
I have replaced the magnetic wrist band with a non-magnetic sports band. Still got the problem. G.
I’ve just checked the compass on my watch. It seems to be working now. I’m still using the same silicone band I had on it since I got it. Did Apple put out a fix in the last WatchOS update?
With or without True North enabled the watch is incorrect... by a great amount.
