Has anyone noticed a screen flicker with the 11Pro max? For example when going through photos or watching movies the screen flickers like brightness is trying to adjust to the content on screen.
auto brightness is off on my device and this is very frustrating!

It seems like a wide spread issue among many users on MacRumors Forum. To sum up, many iPhone 11 Pro Max devices have screen flickers in photos app when Night Shift (or True Tone) and View Full HDR enabled.
Many of us had the exact same problem reproduced when getting a replaced device (iPhone 11 Pro Max) so it would seem to be a software problem. But nothing is sure for now as we're still having the problem even now at iOS 13.1.2. @Apple please release another update soon to fix this.
The weird jittery / flickering display that “was” happening on my 11 Pro Max was not just a normal OLED screen diff vs other display types. My Xs Max was OLED it never showed that phenomenon.
What I saw, definitely looked like a defect of some sort - either hardware or software.
I figured I would be returning my phone.
At first, I saw it while looking at and scrolling through pictures and while images were displayed in Safari. Both were an unpleasant distortion / vibration of the image.
I had saved a Screen Recording that showed the issue well, but I must have deleted that.
I saw where someone said to turn off View Full HDR images (under Settings / Photos), so I did that and that seemed to help with viewing pics, but I still had the issue with Safari.
I solved that by buying Ad Block Pro. No ad images being displayed, so no more jittery display.
I have also reset phone and installed new SW along the way now and I turned View Full HDR images back on now as a test and the jittery image viewing did nor come back.
Hi Liam, I'm having this issue too. A lot of people over on reddit and macrumors have traded in their phone for a new one and run into the same issue. I believe it may be a software bug.
Same issue here on iPhone 11 Pro Max, very annoying brightness flickering in Netflix.
The screen protector would have zero to do with a screen protector. Nice blow off statement. Lol

@KeyDemon. Different issue entirely. This is extremely rapid flickering. Like a backlight going out on a laptop if you’ve ever seen that. Seems to be related to displaying HDR content.
Are you referring to tap to wake? Or just screen responsiveness in general? I believe this issue is software related *knocking on wood*

I guess you’re right. I just can’t recall tapping many a lot at once. I’m really fast at using my phone and I recently moved from a regular X to a max so idk if the screen size has to do with it

No, and it’s only with pictures and videos in low light. Never happens during the day
No, no Lags at all. It seems to work perfectly. In low and daylaight.
I should recomend truing that and maybe solves the problem while IOS 13.2 is launched!
I have same issue while taking pictures and videos, the screen keeps flickering, and my job is such that I need to video every day and this new gadget is just a big hype and frustrating.
My text messages are flickering. How about yours? Just got the phone today, so i haven’t noticed the issue with photos, videos yet.
i am having same issue, seems to be hardware issue. I suggest taking to apple store. Usually 1st batch have some issues
