I am at a vacation home and setting up my Apple TV using my MacBookPro. My WiFi connection with the AppleTV and the MacBook are fine. AppleTV wants my Apple account. I enter my email and password. Then I am told that a code has been sent to one of my other devices. The code never appears. But logging into Apple from the MacBook works perfectly.

If there is security software installed on the iPhone, rid if it. It is un needed, and it may block pop ups.
