Issues with ios13

Just wanted to see what others are running into.

So far I'm having issues with apps and notifications. For instance my mail app only loads mail and send notifications if I manually open the app. There are other apps experiencing similar problems.

My wife's phone is the worse of the two. She can't use her native camera app but snapchat and 3rd party photo apps work fine. She also can't make or receive phone calls because the mic is not working. I've pinpointed the mic because it doesn't work in voice memos either. The bizarre thing about this is that if we do a reboot, factory reset, or iTunes restore her phone will work properly for a few minutes. Then everything stops working again. Really frustrating.

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're having trouble with two iPhone devices after updating them. I'd love to share information that may help you resolve these issues.

To start, make sure that both devices are updated to iOS 13.1.2: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Be sure to have a current backup prior to updating.

To address the issue with Mail notifications. There are a few places you may want to check.

-Settings > Notifications > Mail.

-Settings > Passwords & Accounts > Fetch New Data. Check you to see what you have scheduled under "Fetch."

On your wife's iPhone, what happens when she tries to use the camera? She may want to try the steps here: If the camera on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch isn't working.

For the issue with the microphone on her iPhone, have her try the steps here: If the microphones on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch aren't working.
