USB-C to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter not working on Rotl sound system

I want to connect the iMac to my sound system in order to use it as an audio output.

Purchased a USB-C to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter to connect the iMac to Rotl sound system and the jack is popping out like it won’t push in properly, it is too small for the jack to keep intact.

The optical cable works fine but not this adapter.

The Rotl is using a DAP system.

Is the iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019) compatible to the Rotl sound system?

What USB-C adapter did you purchase?

google the adapter and share the web link using the little chain icon.

Do you have a Rotel system? Some of them have USB inputs.

Are you trying for an optical connection? The 3.5 m jacks of both the 2019 iMac and that adapter do not support optical connectors.

Yes it is an optical cable. Do you have any recommendation on how I can use the sound system as an output for the iMac?
