I am unable to load photos iMessage, any other users with this issue?

For some reason it shut off during the first update. After second update still not working and then on Saturday I was anxious to figure it out and I did by turning on SMS under Messages in settings and it worked Mx
Turning on sms fixed it for me. I don’t know what else to offer. It’s funny how apple farms out tech support to the community. Must save them a bundle v actually hiring ppl to help resolve these types of issues. Good luck. I hope someone here can help you.
Haha right. Lol. Thank you. I always just wait. Eventually some update fixes one thing and then screws up something else. Currently I just copy and paste photos like I used to before they had the feature of them below the message thread.
I finished a couple day process yesterday of calling and talking to some senior advisors and then they ended up sending a ticket to engineering, who then quickly got back to me the next day saying they’re aware of this issue and are working to fix it in the coming update.
It just happened to me too. I get the error message “Unable to load photos” in messages. I have rebooted and my SMS is on but I can’t send a photo in my messages. Brand new phone for me and I am extremely frustrated.

something I’ve noticed recently (because I just keep trying because you never know, might just start working =:D) that as I click the photos shortcut in iMessage I briefly see the photos try and show up, like I’m talking less than a second, but then they’re gone and the “cannot load photos” comes up.
I have been getting an error message when trying to attach a photo from my photo album to a text message. Is this the same issue you’re having?
Yes.... so I figured it out on my own. Under ur setting, go to Messages and turn on SMS.

I’ve tried turning on sms and it didn’t work for me. Any chance anyone else has had this problem and solved it any other way?

I I just recently updated to iOS 13.1.3, went and checked and it still didn’t fix it :(
Started about a the same time. Went to Apple store. They had me erase my settings, then erase my phone and set up as new. This fixed the problem but three days later it is happening again
